Volunteering lets you put your existing skills to valuable use, give something back to your community, learn new skills and make new friendships.
Do you have energy and enthusiasm, a community-minded spirit, and willingness to take on an ongoing commitment? We’d love to hear from you!
Volunteering is rewarding and a great way to learn new skills. It allows you to put your existing skills to use and do something for your community. At YNH, we have a fantastic team of volunteers who help us in many ways and always welcome new members to our friendly team.
Throughout 2015 and 2016, we had 32 volunteers (includes Committee members) who contributed an average of 70 hours per week between them. Volunteers perform a range of tasks including reception, administration, finance, special programs (e.g. Tax Help program, Oral History project), and gardening.
YNH is a DHS approved organisation for volunteering undertaken to meet an activity test, mutual obligation or other participation requirement.
